This week’s garden is growing ever so slowly. But still, there’s green and life out there which is a vast improvement over a month ago. No we’re starting to watch the weather for signs that the last frost is behind us, although it does seem a little early to be tempting fate and planting those warm weather crops up here in NH.
Each Friday I share photos from our garden with an update about what we’re doing, what’s growing, and what we’re eating. I invite you to come play along, I love seeing what others are trying. You can join the fun in 2 ways:
- If you blog, I welcome you to write a post or share a post from that week about what’s growing in your garden
- If you aren’t a blogger, I invite you to join my gardening flickr group and share photos of your garden from this week
- And last – if you don’t want to blog or share photos, just follow along and check out all the links and photos and maybe share a comment with your own gardening experience from the week

Just straight up homesteading ideas sent directly to you.
Hard to believe y'all are just getting started when our garden is just about pooped out until fall. I know it's kinda weird to join your link up with a link up, but that's where I post our garden updates.
Wishing you sunny skies to get that garden kick-started!
I too live in NH (seacoast) and my garden is going slow as well. Our lettuce, peas and beets just germinated. I don't start seedlings, I sow right in the ground, so it takes a bit longer to grow for me, but it's all good. Soon the garden will overflowing with veggies.
This post just made me feel 10x better! I live in MA, started my seeds indoors in March/April, and now have them outside in containers for the last 1-2 weeks. When I read other farming/homesteading blogs, many are located in hot regions where their plants are already several feet tall and producing fruits. When I look at my little seedlings, I wonder if I did something wrong — but seeing this makes me think it's more the cold region we live in! Here's hoping for a great summer/fall harvest!
